Description
The image only has in the caption the date on which it was captured, so that the viewer is placed in a context where he/she has some data but lacks the specification of its geographical location or a title that suggests an interpretation. From the dialogue generated between the spectator and the work, inquiries will arise about the familiar presented as alien, where is it? Why do I not recognize it? Why does it cause me uneasiness, uncertainty, curiosity?
The record was taken at night, with a certain clarity coming from the moonlight. To reach the result I was looking for, I went to the location at different times of the day and night. The search in this work has to do with the interest generated in me by this strange object, which does not look like anything, which could be part of a fractal element and that by its geometric constitution puts in tension to the system that surrounds it, to the nature in which it is immersed. This contrast between the geometric-mathematical and the natural is exacerbated by highlighting the limit between the real and the unreal, the natural and the artificial, the tangible and the metaphysical.
